The Indian Springs Holiness Camp Meeting was launched 125 years ago in a beautiful location in the small town of Flovilla, Georgia (not far from the Indian Springs State Park–that’s the spring that gives the campground its name). Families have come every year since its founding to worship and fellowship and learn and grow as followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In 1996 a group of camp leaders met with Dr. David and Mrs. Linda Housholder to get their ideas on how to increase the effectiveness of the children’s program at the annual camp meeting. The Housholders suggested that instead of trying to have one program for grades 1-8, there could be a separate program for those in grades 6-8. And thus was born the Indian Springs Tweens Program.
So what would we call that program for tweens? We chose The RAD Project, with “RAD” standing for “Rising Adolescent Disciples.”
The RAD Project 2016 begins at 9:30 am (registration earlier) Friday July 15 and ends two Saturdays later with the final morning program on July 23.
